Introduction

Hi everybody, welcome to my bloge. Today, we have to stick together, saving our universal, nations and life’s from the Global Warming.

What I will do to reduce Global Warming

In fact, to reduce carbon dioxide buildup and it effects on global warming , we can either reduce carbon dioxide emissions ( mainly burn less fossil fuels) , or we can re-absorb it from the air. Everyone, in this land can do things to reduce global warming, so am I. So that, from today inward, I will move steps forwards to reduce the effects of these phenomena. The first step I did is I planet some trees in my house, because they can be used carbon dioxide out of the air and store it as carbon in wood. Another step is I am planning to buy small car, because it has low fuel consumption and it is less carbon dioxide emission. Last but not least, I will use more of cold water rather than hot water, saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions.
Finally, if any respectable residents do the same or even more, we will be able to save our planet from the global warming phenomena.

Carbon Dioxide Emitted from Cars

Unfortunately, based on the latest report, about 15% of UAE carbon dioxide emissions come from the burning of gasoline in internal-combustion engines of cars and light trucks, such as (minivans, sport utility vehicles, pick-up trucks, and jeeps). For example,( a new Jeep Cherokee with a 6.2 liter engine,that gets 14 miles per gallon in the city will emit an estimated 1000 pounds of carbon dioxide over a distance of 500 city miles. In other words for each gallon of gas a vehicle consumes, 20 pounds of carbon dioxide are emitted into the air.Another thing is that the sports utility vehicles were built for rough terrain and deserts. When they are used for city driving, they are so much overload to the environment.

Causes of Global Warming

According to “an inconvenient truth”, there are a lot of causes of this phenomena, such as increasing of CO2, gases from power plants, pollution emitted from cars, trucks and airplanes. Moreover, increasing the number of vehicles lead to increase the pollution in the air, by emitting carbon. In addition, about 10 % of the green house emissions came from airplanes. Another possible cause of the global warming is Methane. In fact, it is approximately 60 times stronger than carbon dioxide. According to the scientist, a rapid of increasing Methane leads to increase earth heating. Deforestation is another cause of this phenomenon. a lot of countries burn the trees to help their nation economics’ . Moreover, if the change of temperatures between oceans and atmosphere still there, the climate will be changed and it will cause increasing of earth heating.

UAE and Global Warming

According to the Nation Environment article, that the global warming threatens the UAE marine life’s .That leads to lost of coral reefs on these sides of the UAE. This problem because of gulf waters became hot and saltier. As we know, that the UAE depends on this source for many proposes, such as drink and agricultures. Moreover, the Global warming has created difficult conditions for marine fauna flora and seaward development as well. To help preserve marine resources, the UAE government, represented of Dolphin Energy Ltd, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Environmental Research and Wildlife Development Agency (Erwda) in Abu Dhabi are set to collaborate on a $500,000 project to map the status and condition of coral reefs in the UAE, especially around Abu Dhabi. In the other hands, According to the Emirates Environment Group, the study expected to come up with a comprehensive blueprint for coral reef conservation in the region along with a coral reef chart and guide.

UAE & The Enviroment

Another step is that the UAE made another progress in the fields of environmental protection and wildlife management on their lands. The evidence for this progress is to be seen almost everywhere, one looks in the Emirates, from the widespread improvements in environmental controls to the impressive wildlife breeding, conservation and public display projects. The fact that, after one decade of careful study and habitat development, the greater flamingo finally bred successfully in Abu Dhabi during the winter of 1998–99, the first confirmed breeding of this species in the UAE and the first confirmed breeding anywhere on the mainland of the Arabian Peninsula, is much more than an ornithological achievement.

UAE and the Electricity

In addition, the U.A.E is among the largest energy consuming country in the world. This article was published recently and has the solution to the global warming. Abu Dhabi government shut down the electricity of 20 schools one day for 1 hour to see how much carbon emissions is reduced in that particular time. This move didn't only benefit the U.A.E, but the whole world. A very nice way to reduce carbon emissions consumed everyday and encourages other countries to do the same thing or should be doing.

UAE Beats Americans' Environmental Harm

Another thing is whenever I look at the title of this article, I start smiling. The U.A.E can be considered one of the worlds most energy consuming country, but when it comes to being before U.S.A in energy consumption, I have to disagree. Since when does the U.A.E produce more carbon emissions than U.S.A! U.S.A has over 200million people in population, whereas the U.A.E only just reaches 4 million. How can 4 million people produce more carbon emissions than 200million people? For a small country with low population, yes it is possible that we produce a lot of carbon emissions than needed, but in the long period, U.S.A will definitely be consuming more. At least the U.A.E is still with the Kyoto Protocol, unlike U.S.A, which dropped out in 2001.

Heat Waves

According to the scientific reports, heat waves, which hit Europe and United State recently are becoming more frequent, because of global warming and this study based on decades of weather and computer models. In addition, the changing of weather cycles due to humans generating more green house gases emissions leads to increase in the heat waves around the world. According to NASA report that the temperature measurement has changed annually due to the global warming and these heat waves lead to illness and deaths. Also, high temperatures perpetuate malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases in the tropics. As global warming occurs, the mosquitoes can expand their range to higher elevations. Finally, if governments standstill against global warming, our universel will end soon.

Effects of global warming

According to the scientific vision and study, a lot of symptoms will be there to prove that the global warming is real. In this project I am going to explain some effects of this phenomenon, such as Glaciers are melting, plants and animals are being forced from their habitat, and the number of severe storms and droughts is increasing. Also, there is an increase of hurricanes around the world and a lot of diseases will be spread like, Malaria. Moreover, deaths from global warming will increase with in 25 years, a lot of animals will move closer to the poles. In addition, heat waves will be more intense, droughts and wildfires will occur often and we don’t forget that Arctic Ocean could be iceless as well within 50 years. Last but not least, millions of species and human die as a result to this disaster. Finally, I am going to write in detail about heat waves in the next post.
